The Catamounts put together a complete game and finished off the Yellow Jackets Thursday night. Many players had great games contributing to the win. Goalie JP Clark made several momentum changing saves at point blank range. Drew Greeson shut off Sprayberry’s greatest offensive threat. Logan Cole and Jeremiah Defore were both crucial in clearing and ground balls. Even if most of the team didn’t put in great performances, the game still would have gone Dalton’s way as DJ Hutchinson had a career night facing off for Dalton. As a result the Catamounts were able to take possession after every goal and at the beginning of each quarter. With Dalton playing make-it-take-it, Sprayberry never had a chance.
DJ Hutchinson, Logan Cole, Jordan Torres, Jeremiah Defore, Jack Sanderson, and Henry Hansen all scored goals for the Catamounts. Shot selection on the night was better than recent games, and Dalton was able to dominate time of possession. The game saw the return of several Dalton defensive starters. With the team nearly at full strength again, the Catamounts have an opportunity to build upon Thursday night’s success.
