JV Boys Tennis downs Darlington 3-2

In Rome Wednesday night, our JV boys tennis defeats Darlington 3-2.  In singles, #2 Henry Stephenson won 7-6, 1-6, 10-7.  Both our doubles teams came away with wins, #1 Marshall Phillips and Brett Buckner (6-2, 4-6, 10-6) and #2 Hunter Jones and Jordan Long (6-2, 6-3).   GO BIG RED!!!  

Dalton JV Girls Tennis defeats Darlington

Wednesday night in Rome, our JV girls defeated Darlington 4-1.  Winning in singles was #1 Eunice Alvaran (6-2, 7-6), #2 Caroline Mathis (6-4, 6-4).  Our doubles winners were #1 Alison Young and Molly Lambert (6-2, 6-0) and #2 Molly Lambert and Madeline Hughes (6-1, 6-0).  GO BIG RED!!!!

Dalton Boys and Girls Track Wins Southeast Meet/Ross Sets Record

The Dalton High School’s girls and boys team each won a six-team meet on Tuesday at Southeast Whitfield High School. Dalton’s boys got a pair of individual first places from Moises Ponce in the 800 (2 minutes 4 seconds) and 1,600 (4:56).  Ponce also teamed with Mauricio Cuevas, Adan Rodriguez and Travis Neilson to win

Brock Nelson #20 is MaxPreps Player of Week in Southeast!

Player of the Week: Brock Nelson, a junior out of Dalton High School (Dalton, Ga.), went 8-for-9 at the plate with two home runs to accumulate a 1.555 slugging percentage to earn the Southeast MaxPreps USA Baseball Player of the Week award. Nelson tallied seven RBIs and three runs and held a .900 on-base percentage.

Dalton Boys golf leads after Day 1 of NGI

After one day of the North Georgia Invitational, Dalton leads after shooting a 287 at Lafayette Golf Course.  Davis Kirk shoots team low 69. Also scoring for Dalton was Allen Behr with a 71, Carter Pendley with a 72, and Landon Hicks with a 75.  Good start guys!

Dalton Girls Tennis beats Rome 4-1

Dalton girls tennis wins 4-1 at Rome.  Winning in singles was #1 Erin Nelson (6-0, 6-1), #3 Sloan Hungerpiller (6-4, 7-5),  Winning in doubles was #1 Mary Margaret Snipes and Shelby Fromm (6-2, 6-3) and #2 Mary Turner Renz and Olivia Tidwell (6-4, 6-1) Dalton goes to 2-0 in region and 3-2 overall.

Dalton Boys Tennis beats Rome 4-1

Dalton picks up the win at Rome.  #2 singles Wyatt Cushman won 6-2, 6-0.  #3 Charlie Alderman won 4-6, 6-2, 7-5.  #1 doubles Jake Myers and Colby Wills won 6-1, 6-2.  #2 doubles Sam Goetze and Alex Reisz won 6-2, 6-3.  Dalton improves to 1-1 in region and 2-3 overall.

Dalton Girls Soccer fall 4-0 at Sequoyah

Dalton girls fall to Sequoyah 4-0.  Come out Friday and support our girls as they take on Rome at Harmon Field at 5:00!

Dalton Boys Soccer beats #4 Sequoyah 3-0

Dalton travels to Sequoyah and picks up a big region win winning 3-0. Churrui Huranda scores 2 goals, Jose Boyzo added the third.  Dalton had  15 shots on goal to Sequoyah’s 2.  Great job Cats!
