Dalton JV Boys Soccer beats Coahulla Creek 7-0

Wednesday night at Harmon Field, Dalton’s JV Boys soccer beat Coahulla Creek 7-0.  The Catamounts improved to 8-0 on the season.  Miguel Valladares scored two goals and Kevin Diaz, Livan Hernandez, Frank Herrera, Ivan Mora, and Jose Moreno each scored one.  Diaz, Hernandez, Brandon Herrera, and Mora each had an assist. CLASH OF TOP BOYS SOCCER: Dalton beats McIntosh on PKs

Two of the best soccer programs in the country met Friday night at Harmon Field.  After regulation, game was tied 1-1.  Dalton scored on a goal by Isai Hernandez.  McIntosh goal came on a penalty kick in the first half. Dalton wins Quad Track Meet

Dalton dominated the meet.  The boys team won with 125 points.  The girls won with 132 1\2 points. For the boys, Jordon McKinney won three individual events, winning the 300 hurdles, the triple jump, and long jump.  He also teamed up with Maurico Cuevas, Travis Nelson, and Moises Ponce to win the 4×400. DHS Girls Tennis takes 3rd at Granger Invitational Last Weekend

Girls took 3rd place beating Morgan County (3-2), losing to Union Grove (0-5), and beating Chapel Hill (4-1). Over the course of the weekend wins came from: Erin Nelson (1S) Sloan Hungerpiller (3S) Mary Snipes/Olivia Tidwell (1S) Eunice Alvarran/Caroline Mathis (2D) Caroline Mathis/Surbhi Bhatter (2D)   Girls improve to 8-3 overall for the season.

Dalton Girls Golf Finished 2nd at Lafayette

Lady Cats finished 2nd at Lafayette Invitational shooting a 238.  Dalton had tournament medalist as Katelyn Skiffen carded a 75.  Just behind was Carson Roberts with a 77.  Bailey Mitchell added an 88.

Dalton Boys Tennis defeats Sequoyah 3-2

Sam Goetze and Alex Reisz picked up a three set win at No. 2 doubles 3-6, 6-4, and 7-5 to give the Cats the match.  Other wins came from #2 singles Bennett Wills 7-5, 6-2 and #3 singles Wyatt Cushman 6-1, 6-2.
